About Williams Selyem
Williams Selyem, a Healdsburg winery owned by John Dyson since 1998, is built on single-vineyard Pinot Noir made in small batches. Russian River Valley sources such as Rochioli, Allen and Olivet Lane give supple, fruit-rich wines, while later-ripening Sonoma Coast sites like Hirsch have run darker and denser. The Westside Road estate, planted from 2002 to nearly 40 acres mostly with heritage selections such as Swan, Mount Eden and Calera, yields an Estate Pinot fermented with 15–25% whole clusters in stainless dairy tanks and aged in François Frères barrels, plus Block 10, a 3-acre, 18-clone mass selection made with 35–38% whole clusters and native yeast and aged 20–22 months.
