About Maison Leroy
Maison Leroy is the négociant arm of Lalou Bize-Leroy's Burgundy business, based in Auxey-Duresses, where the house was founded in 1868. Its bottlings come from the house's extensive reserves: each year Bize-Leroy hand-selects an annual collection, releasing wines only when she judges them ready to drink. Alongside it, Domaine Leroy bottles wines from its own vineyards, expanded in 1988 with Charles Noëllat's Vosne-Romanée holdings; it farms some 22–23 ha biodynamically, with grands crus such as Chambertin, Musigny, Richebourg and Romanée-St-Vivant, and makes about 40,000 bottles a year. Wine Spectator found its Chambertin combined power and finesse, and its Romanée-St-Vivant ethereal and floral.
