About Domaine Roulot
Domaine Roulot, Jean-Marc Roulot's organically farmed Meursault estate, built its name on separately bottled lieux-dits: Les Tessons Clos de Mon Plaisir (0.85 ha), Les Luchets (1.03 ha), Meix Chavaux, Vireuils, Narvaux and Tillets. Premiers crus are Perrières (0.26 ha, bought in 1976), Charmes (0.28 ha of 1940s vines), Clos des Bouchères and Porusot, alongside Bourgogne Blanc, Aligoté and Monthelie and Auxey-Duresses reds. A micro-négoce adds Genevrières, Puligny Cailleret, Corton-Charlemagne and Chevalier-Montrachet. Whites ferment in barriques, about 15–18% new, are lightly stirred until malolactic, spend about 11 months on lees and seven more in steel. The style is bright, chiselled and restrained rather than rich, built for long ageing.
