About Andremily

Andremily, the Ventura label of former Sine Qua Non assistant winemaker Jim Binns and his wife Rachel, makes Rhône-style wines labelled simply California. The numbered Syrah (88% Syrah, with Mourvèdre and Viognier, in 2019) draws on White Hawk, Larner and Alta Mesa and is full, peppery and meaty. The Mourvèdre, about four-fifths Mourvèdre, is smoky and rich; the Grenache spends 21 months in half-new barriques and demi-muids, bottled unfined. EABA blends Syrah, Mourvèdre and Grenache, and some cuvées use 55–60% whole clusters. A White Cuvée blends Roussanne, Chardonnay, Viognier and Marsanne. The estate, Slide Hill in Edna Valley, has 39 acres, mainly Syrah and Grenache.
