About Veuve Clicquot
Veuve Clicquot, the LVMH-owned Reims house, builds its style on Pinot Noir, using some 393 ha of mostly grand and premier cru vineyards. Yellow Label Brut, the core cuvée, blends about 50–55% Pinot Noir with Chardonnay and Meunier from 50–60 crus and up to 45% reserve wine from a library of about 400 reserve wines; it shows pear, peach, citrus and brioche. La Grande Dame, the prestige vintage, is now almost all Pinot Noir (90% with 10% Chardonnay in 2018), saline and precise, ageing 15 years or more. The range also includes Brut Rosé, Vintage, Extra Brut Extra Old made only from reserve wines Demi-Sec and the very sweet Rich.
