About Domaine des Lambrays

Domaine des Lambrays, owned by LVMH since 2014, holds 8.66 of the 8.84 ha of Clos des Lambrays, the Morey-Saint-Denis grand cru, with vines averaging about 90 years old; its parcels are vinified separately, then reassembled. Under Jacques Devauges, reds ferment with up to 80% whole bunches and age about 18 months in barrel, 60% new, and the 2022 Clos tasted deep, powerful and chalky. Morey premiers crus Les Loups, Clos Baulet and old-vine Clos Sorbet sit alongside Vosne-Romanée Beaux Monts, a dense, dark Nuits-Saint-Georges La Richemone and a Morey village. The whites are the Puligny-Montrachet premiers crus Clos du Cailleret and Les Folatières. Farming is organic with biodynamic practices.
