About Taylor's

Taylor's Classic Vintage Port, declared only about three times a decade, blends three Douro estates: Quinta de Vargellas, a terraced amphitheatre in the wild eastern reaches that brings structure, scent and well-integrated, sinewy tannins, and Terra Feita and Junco, which add body and concentrated fruit. The wines rest two winters in oak vats before the blend is judged, then age for decades. Vargellas is also bottled alone as a single-quinta Vintage, and its oldest walled terraces give the tiny Vinha Velha. The house, part of the Fladgate Partnership, pioneered Late Bottled Vintage for earlier drinking, ages 10- to 40-year-old tawnies in seasoned oak casks and releases Single Harvest Ports.
