About Robert Mondavi Winery
Robert Mondavi Winery, owned by Constellation Brands, centres its range on the To Kalon Vineyard, well-drained Oakville benchland. The Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon draws on five favoured To Kalon parcels, mostly Cabernet with a little Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot (94% Cabernet in 2021), and spends about 20 months in all-new French oak; it shows blackberry, plum, dark chocolate and violet over plush tannins. Fumé Blanc, the dry, oak-aged Sauvignon Blanc Mondavi named in 1968, is also made as a To Kalon I Block bottling from vines planted in 1945. The Estates line adds an Oakville Cabernet and a Stags Leap District Sauvignon Blanc.
