About Prieure Roch
Domaine Prieuré Roch, founded in 1988 by Henry-Frédéric Roch and co-managed by Yannick Champ, farms about 14 ha biodynamically. Its first vineyard was Clos Goillotte, a 0.55 ha Vosne-Romanée premier cru just south of La Tâche. It also holds Vosne Suchots (1.02 ha) and grands crus Chambertin-Clos de Bèze (1.01 ha) and Clos de Vougeot (0.68 ha). The largest holding is the 5.2 ha Nuits-Saint-Georges Clos des Corvées monopole, alongside Clos des Argillières and about 2 ha of red and white Ladoix. Whole bunches ferment in wooden vats, trodden by foot, then age in new oak; sulphur is avoided and wines go to bottle unfined and unfiltered: pale but aromatically intense.
