About Myriad

Myriad Cellars is winemaker Mike Smith's St. Helena label, centred on vineyard-designated Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, much of it from Beckstoffer sites: Dr. Crane in St. Helena, big and bold, with a dense Elysian bottling; Georges III in Rutherford, layered and classic, plus the barrel-selected Empyrean; Bourn; and To Kalon, whose TOK-X reserve ages in two barrels cut from one French oak tree. Smith also bottles Round Pond and Lewelling Ranch Cabernets, Las Amigas Merlot, Syrahs from Sangiacomo, Vivio, Jemrose and Las Madres, and a Bordeaux-style white from Melrose. He moves wines into French oak before fermentation ends and keeps some raisined berries for balance.
