About Kapcsandy Family Winery

Kapcsándy Family Winery makes every wine from its 20-acre State Lane Vineyard in Yountville, replanted in 15 blocks of Bordeaux varieties at 2,600 vines per acre. The Grand Vin is Cabernet Sauvignon (100% in 2022) aged in about 92% new French oak, structured and long-lived. Roberta's Reserve is Merlot, Rapszódia is Cabernet Franc, and the Estate Cuvée is a Cabernet Sauvignon in roughly half new oak. Fruit is hand-sorted several times, destemmed and sorted berry by berry, and some wines see Hungarian as well as French oak. The family aims for lower alcohol and balance. There is also a Cabernet Franc-Merlot rosé and a rare Napa Furmint.
