About Heitz Cellar
Heitz Cellar, owned by the Lawrence Group, makes three vineyard-designated Cabernet Sauvignons, each 100% Cabernet and long-aged in oak. Martha's Vineyard, a 34-acre Oakville bench site bottled since 1966, grows its own "Martha's clone" with small, purple berries and is known for mint, bay leaf, dark berry and chocolate; it spends about four years in oak, three in new Limousin barrels. Trailside, 85 acres in Rutherford, is fermented block by block and kept four years in oak, three in new barrels. Linda Falls, seven acres on Howell Mountain at about 1,500 feet, gets three years in oak. Heitz also makes Grignolino, as a varietal wine and a dry rosé.
