About Domaine Faiveley

Domaine Faiveley, the Faiveley family's Nuits-Saint-Georges estate, is among Burgundy's largest owners, with about 120 ha converted to organic farming across the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Its grands crus include Chambertin-Clos de Bèze (including the Ouvrées Rodin cuvée), Mazis-Chambertin, Musigny, Clos de Vougeot, Corton-Charlemagne and Bâtard-Montrachet, plus six monopoles such as Corton Clos des Cortons Faiveley and Mercurey Clos des Myglands. Top wines ferment in wooden vats filled by gravity and age in French oak, up to two-thirds new for crus. Since 2007 extraction has eased, giving fresher, fruitier reds than the once very tannic house style, while keeping real intensity.
