About Beaulieu Vineyard

Beaulieu Vineyard, owned by Treasury Wine Estates, centres its range on Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. The flagship Georges de Latour Private Reserve, first made from the 1936 vintage, draws on BV Ranches No. 1 and No. 2 on Rutherford's western bench, using clones 6, 4, 169, 7 and 8 on alluvial-fan soils. In 2021 it was 94% Cabernet with 6% Petit Verdot, partly fermented in new French oak barrels, with blackberry, cassis, graphite and silky tannins meant to develop over decades. Tapestry Reserve is a five-variety Bordeaux blend aged 20 months in roughly 60% new French oak. Rutherford Reserve and Napa Valley Cabernets and a Carneros Chardonnay complete the core.
