About Sea Smoke

Sea Smoke, owned by Constellation Brands since 2024, makes estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from its biodynamically farmed vineyard on south-facing slopes along the Santa Ynez River in the Sta. Rita Hills, where shale, diatomite and thin clay topsoils meet daily marine fog. Ten, the flagship, draws on all ten French Pinot clones planted there, macerates up to four weeks and saw 56% new French oak in 2024; it is deep and firmly tannic, with blueberry, cassis and lavender, and built to age. Southing, named for the south-facing bluffs, is more lifted, with currant, rose and spice. Grand Pinot Noir, Estate Chardonnay and Sea Spray sparkling round out the range.
