About Quintarelli Giuseppe

Quintarelli, the Negrar estate now run by Giuseppe's daughter Fiorenza, works about 12 ha along the Negrar valley and vinifies at Cà Paletta in Cerè. Its Amarone Classico and Amarone Riserva rest on long withering and long macerations, with fermentation in wood, and have traditionally been aged for seven years in Slavonian oak botti. The Valpolicella Classico Superiore blends Corvina, Rondinella and Cabernet; Rosso Ca' del Merlo adds Corvinone, Nebbiolo, Croatina and Sangiovese. There is also a Recioto della Valpolicella. Alzero, from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, uses small oak barriques. Primo Fiore blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Corvina; Bianco Secco is a dry white from the local Saorin.
