About Henri Boillot

Henri Boillot, a Meursault grower and négociant, is best known for precise, mineral whites. The roughly 19 ha domaine includes the Puligny-Montrachet premier cru monopole Clos de la Mouchère (about 4 ha) alongside Perrières, Pucelles and Combettes, Meursault Genevrières and the Clos Richemont monopole, and Savigny Vergelesses. Pucelles ages 16 months in large casks without lees stirring to keep it crystalline. The reds, made by son Guillaume from late-picked, low-yield Volnay premiers crus (Caillerets, Chevrets, Fremiets, Clos de la Rougeotte), Beaune Clos du Roi and Pommard, aim for finesse. Maison Henri Boillot, founded in 1996, buys whites from single sites, and the range reaches Bâtard-Montrachet, Montrachet and Corton-Charlemagne.
