About Duckhorn Vineyards
Duckhorn Vineyards made its name with Napa Merlot and now farms nine estate vineyards across the valley. Its benchmark is Three Palms Merlot, from a 73-acre Calistoga site of rocky, well-drained soils, rounded out with a little Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc (92% Merlot in 2022) and aged 18 months in French oak, 75% new; the winery notes cherry, rose petal and cocoa with dusty tannins and earthy minerality. A Three Palms Block 5 selection and Rector Creek Merlot sit beside it. Single-vineyard Cabernets come from Monitor Ledge, Rector Creek, Patzimaro, Three Palms and Cork Tree, and The Discussion blends Cabernet with Merlot. Napa Sauvignon Blanc completes the core.
