About Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux
Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux in Vosne-Romanée, run by Florence Arnoux-Lachaux with her son Charles Lachaux, farms 14 ha of Pinot Noir across the Côte de Nuits. Grands crus are Romanée-Saint-Vivant (oldest vines from 1923), Échézeaux (0.8 ha in Les Rouges du Bas), Clos de Vougeot from the upper Quartier de Marei, and Latricières-Chambertin. Premiers crus include Vosne Suchots, a 0.2 ha slice of Aux Reignots beside La Romanée and Les Chaumes. The vines are farmed biodynamically, trained high and never trimmed; whole clusters have been used since 2012 with short macerations, and from 2022 stoneware vessels replaced all oak barrels. Decanter's Stephen Brook found the current wines more intense and refined than the earlier powerful, oaky wines.
