About Bedrock Wine Co.
Bedrock Wine Co., Morgan Twain-Peterson's Sonoma winery, works mainly with century-old California vineyards. Its Heritage wines are field blends from such sites. The flagship Bedrock Heritage comes from the 152-acre Bedrock Vineyard in Sonoma Valley, replanted in 1888: Zinfandel, Carignan and Mataro with around 27 other interplanted varieties, co-fermented and aged in puncheons, demi-muids and barriques of French and Austrian oak; broad and muscular yet energetic. Evangelho, own-rooted on deep Contra Costa beach sand, is fresh, bright and low in pH; Nervo, on shale near Geyserville, is perfumed. Native fermentations, some whole clusters and minimal handling also shape its Zinfandels, Syrahs and whites.
